Norma Skoda-Callahan, 61 of Savage, passed away Friday surrounded by family and friends after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 24, 1949 in Northfield, Minnesota to Milton and Edra (nee Thibadeau) Hamann. Norma is survived by sons Todd (Rebecca), Travis (Kim), and Thad (Marjorie) Skoda, and John (Ginny) Callahan, grandchildren Cory, Lyndsey, and Shelby Callahan, Sarah, Nic, Austin, Samantha, and Logan Skoda, brothers Art Hamann and Keith (Sheri) Hamann, and sisters Janis (Harry) Schlickenmayer and Susan (Kirk) Nelson. She LOVED her family, dancing, and all people. To Norma, there were no strangers-only friends she hadn’t met yet. She will be missed. As bad as it is, I can still see some of that spark that always lit up a room whenever she entered it. As hard as the cancer is trying to extinguish her light, she still can illuminate my heart when I see her smile. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, November 18 at Hosanna! Church, 9600 163rdStreet West, Lakeville. Visitation is 5-8 PM Wednesday at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley (952) 432-2331 and 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens, Burnsville. Memorials requested to Susan G. Komen For the Cure.
