Nicholas T. "Nick" Germscheid

Nicholas "Nick" Germscheid, age 25 of North St. Paul, died peacefully with his mom and sister at his side on Wednesday morning, December 15, 2021. Nick lost his battle with Covid at Regions Hospital in St. Paul following a hard-fought battle against this evil monster. We will forever be proud of him for his courage and strength. Nick was born October 9, 1996, in Pusan, So. Korea. Shortly after, he was adopted on April 14, 1997, and began his American journey with Tom, Joyce, and Maggie. Nick touched so many during his short life with us. From grade school to college, Nick loved meeting and caring about so many others. He graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Business and began his career at State Farm Insurance where he was successful and truly enjoyed helping clients any way he could. His faith was strong and he attended Eagle Brook Church where he was active with his young adult faith group. Nick, we will forever miss you, it's just not fair your time with us was so short. He was preceded in death by his father and best friend, Tom; and by his grandparents. Nick is survived by his loving mother, Joyce; sister, Maggie who was his rock, mentor, and protector; Kallie who became another big sister to him; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Church of St. Peter Catholic Church, 2500 Margaret Street, North St. Paul. Private family interment will be held at St. Thomas Catholic cemetery (in rural Le Sueur). Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and to a reception immediately following the Mass, all at church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, Nick's family requests memorials be given to Bethel University's BUILD Program, Feed My Starving Children, or to the donor's choice in his memory. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
