Muriel J. Jarchow

Muriel J. Jarchow, age 87, of Hastings, died Saturday, March 19, 2016 in St. Paul. Muriel was born June 26, 1928 in Willmar, MN to Carroll and Elva (Weeks) Holliday. She married Valgene "Val" Jarchow August 26, 1950 at Hamline Methodist Church in St. Paul. She was a graduate of Washington High School in St. Paul. She and her husband were former owners of Pet Ranch of America with several locations in the Twin Cities area. Muriel is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Val, a son Tom and brothers Glenn and David Holliday. She is survived by her children Deb (Mike) Sherry of Amery, WI, Sandy (Steve) Loosbrock of Naples, FL and Dick Jarchow of Hastings; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a sister Carol Giefer of Excelsior, MN. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. April Davis Campbell, will be Wednesday 3/23/16 at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 602 Vermillion St. Hastings. A visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the funeral at church. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
