Mowrey, Morris Carl “Bud”
Born in Ithaca, NY to Carl and Paula Mowrey, attended Cornell and Georgetown Universities, graduating from Georgetown, and fought overseas in WW II. Bud met Sara in Washington, DC. They married in 1953 and moved several times with their family before settling in MN 40 years ago. Bud’s career as a sales manager for RCA led him to travel around the country and the world. After retiring, he volunteered in church and community groups. Bud loved baseball, music and his family. He was quick with a joke and often whistled or sang. Bud is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; brother & sister-in-law, Robert and Darlene; and sister, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Sara “Sally”; daughters, Sara (Marshall) Miller and Katherine (Thomas) Klouda; son, Charles; daughter-in-law, Kathleen; grandchildren, Marshall, Alex (Naomi) and Emily; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Bud’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 1 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Interment in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 6, at 2 PM. Meet in Lane #4. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
