Sharpe, Miyako (Harrah)

February 20, 1936 – August 9, 2012. Miyako was preceded in death by her husband, William K. Sharpe (USN ret.). She is survived by sons, Neal (Mary) Harrah and Brian Harrah; granddaughters, Therese, Maddie and Annemarie Harrah. Miyako was born in Osaka, Japan and while Minnesota was her home, Miyako lived in several cities including Washington DC, Kings Park, NY and Las Vegas, NV and was a longtime employee of Marriot Hospitality. Miyako loved cats and enjoyed playing mahjong with her friends. A celebration of Miyako’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 14 from 5-8 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, MN. Interment is at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
