Miriam T. Strebel

Miriam T. Strebel, age 88, of Hastings, passed away at Regina Nursing Home on December 18, 2014. She was born in Faulkton, SD on August 20, 1926 to Joseph and Angeline Bowar. She married Elwood Strebel in Bloomington, MN. She was a nun for the Presentation Order in Aberdeen, SD for 26 years. She was also a Registered Nurse and later worked as an Occupational Therapist for the Sister Kenney Institute. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood; parents; siblings, Earl Bowar; Generva Reuland; Beth Flocchini; Marian Baillargeon; Gerald Bowar; Karl Bowar and Marie Bowar. Miriam is survived by siblings, Joe (Corrine) Bowar; Ray (Donna) Bowar; and Jacque Klein; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday (12/22) at 10:00 a.m. at Regina Memorial Chapel, 1285 Nininger Road, Hastings. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the chapel.
