Mike M. Sather

Mike M. Sather, age 66, of Eagan, MN, formerly of Willoughby, OH, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of Jesus on November 29, 2018. Survived by wife of 35 yrs, Diane (Wefelmeyer), daughter Alaina, half-brother Richard and brothers-in-law Eric, Will, and Carl. Preceded by parents Milo and Dorothy (Tatman) Sather, Ernest and Georetta (Hagan) Wefelmeyer and brother-in-law Martin. Mike worked locally at Home Depot, BCBS, Advantis Research, Cray Research, SGI, and Wilson Learning. He enlisted in the Navy in 1972, where he served for 4 yrs at China Lake, CA. Mike loved music, having performed at the local churches Living Word Lutheran and Community of Joy, where he attended. He enjoyed life and had great sense of humor. He enjoyed playing guitar and hammered dulcimer, walking, hiking, biking, golf, watching soccer, reading, and talking about politics, history, and theology. Loved by many, he will be greatly missed. Visitation on Wed., Dec 5 from 4-7 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, MN. Interment on Thurs., Dec 6 at 8:30 AM at Acacia Cemetery, 2151 Pilot Knob Rd., Mendota Heights, MN.  Memorial Service on Thurs., Dec 6 at 11AM at Community of Joy, 4015 Northview Terrace, Eagan, MN, with visitation 1 hr prior. Lunch to follow service.
