Michelle C. Temple, age 35, of Hastings, Minnesota, passed away far too soon on Sunday, March 15, 2026, yet did so peacefully while surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Michelle was born on April 9, 1990, in Red Wing, Minnesota, to Renae (Hinsch) Kackmann and Brian Lohman. She grew up in Lake City, where at the age of four, Dale Kackmann became her bonus-dad, with whom she shared a special bond.

From a young age, she found great joy in the outdoors. She loved snowmobiling, sports, volleyball, and friendly competition.

Michelle graduated from Lake City High School in 2008. Following graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Hastings, where she discovered her passion for working with people and helping them feel beautiful.

At just 15 years old, Michelle met the love of her life, Travis Temple. Their relationship grew through the years as they traveled to different locations for Travis’s career before eventually settling back in Hastings eight years ago. Together they built a home and a life centered on love and family. They purchased their home five years ago and were blessed with two beautiful children, Ford, age six, and Reagan, age four. Michelle treasured her role as a wife and mother. Her children were the light of her life, and she took great pride in caring for them, keeping their busy schedules organized, and cheering them on in all their activities. Michelle also maintained a high priority of spending quality one-on-one time with Travis, where they would often travel together or even do nothing at all, which further fulfilled their deep love for one another.

Michelle was known for her outgoing spirit, warm smile, and caring heart. She was loyal, easy to be around, and always put others before herself. She enjoyed country music, cooking, fine dining, family vacations, especially trips to the mountains out west, and spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, riding side by sides, and snowmobiling. She loved dancing and sharing special girl time with Reagan, including pedicures and manicures. Michelle also loved animals, especially her dogs. The family often joked that she was quick to remind everyone she never got a horse growing up and that Travis was in trouble because he never got her one either.

Michelle worked mid-time and spent the rest of her time caring for her children and managing the many details of family life. Time spent with family and friends meant everything to her. Though her time here was far too short, Michelle’s beauty, love, laughter, and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Travis Temple; her children, Ford and Reagan; her parents, Renae and Dale Kackmann and Brian Lohman; her brothers, Shane Lohman and Wesley Freiberg; her grandparents, Robert and Marlene Kackmann and Leola Lohman; her little sisters, Allison and Ashley Cordes; her in-laws, Marge and Dan Temple; her brother-in-law, Mike Temple; her sister-in-law, Mindy Temple; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Yvonne Hinsch and Rodney Lohman.
