Michelle J. Meuwissen

Michelle J. Meuwissen, age 51 of Scottsdale, Arizona, died suddenly at home on September 22, 2021. Michelle Ji Mi, was born on June 14, 1970, in Busan, South Korea, and was shortly thereafter adopted by Ralph and Mary Meuwissen. She attended Parochial School through eighth grade, and graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1989. Michelle was a longtime employee of SkyWest Airlines, and was recently honored for thirty-one years as a flight attendant. Outside of working, Michelle enjoyed running, reading, traveling - especially when she was coming home to be with family, and singing karaoke. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her great nieces, Maura, Marley, and Agnes, as well as being a dog mom to Bo. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Jacob Meuwissen; and by her aunt and godmother, Lillian Schwalbe. Michelle is survived by her parents, Ralph and Mary; siblings, Anthony (Silvia) Meuwissen, Jonathan (Serena) Meuwissen, and Stephanie Rinzler; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Brandon, Ashley, Abbi, Catie, Alicia, Kenzie, Trevor, and Kai; great nieces, Maura, Marley, and Agnes; godfather, Bernard Meuwissen; and by many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with Father David Hennen officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation for one hour prior to Mass at church on Friday, October 8, 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
