Michael Thomas Minter

Michael T. Minter, age 56 of Hastings, died Friday, March 11, 2016 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Michael Thomas, the son of Richard and Kathleen (Petrick) Tibbits, was born on July 10, 1959 in Anoka. He attended Hastings High School and graduated with the class of 1978. Mike worked as a printer in various print shops. He enjoyed playing darts with his friends and adored spending time with his nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; his aunt, Connie Lundholm; and his uncles, Michael Petrick and Dennis Petrick. Mike is survived by his mother, Kathleen Tibbits of Brooklyn Center; his siblings, Airiq Tibbits of Hastings and Amy (Charlie) Keohen of Texas; his aunts and uncles, Tom (Nancy) Petrick of Montana, Patricia (Gus) Lake of Coon Rapids, Maureen "Mickie" DeSutter of Aitkin and Daniel (Ronda) Petrick of Aitkin; his nieces and nephews, Zachary, Arriel, Emily and PJ; and by other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in memory of Mike.
