Michael Paul Ficker

Michael Paul Ficker, age 48 of Hastings died December 18, 2010. Michael was born May 21, 1962 in Hastings to Paul and Vivian (Lipp) Ficker. He was a 1980 graduate of Hastings High School, and was employed by Cannon Equipment. He married Stacy Steinhibel on April 20, 2002 in Vermillion. He loved kids, especially his own, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed snowmobiling, gardening, farming, and telling stories. He was preceded in death by his father. Michael is survived by his wife Stacy; children Sara, Madison, and Paul Michael; mother Vivian Ficker of Hastings; siblings Mark Ficker of Prescott, Maureen (Chris) Schulz of Inver Grove Heights, Nancy (Tim) Stokke Brainerd, Tamara (Adam) Fleming of Lakewood, IL; also many nieces and nephews; and 1 great nephew. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Scott Carl, will be held at 11AM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion. The visitation will be held from 4-8PM Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at St. John�s School in Vermillion, and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in St. Mary�s Cemetery, New Trier. The pallbearers are David Madland, Mark Ficker, Peter Becker, Jason Steinhibel, Travis Stokke, and Joe Ficker.
