Michael M. Murgic

Michael M. Murgic, 84, of Rosemount, passed away Sunday, January 25. He was born November 7, 1930 in East Saint Louis, Illinois, and married to the late Jean Murgic (nee Stegen) for over 40 years. He is survived by his children: Steve (Jean), Kristin (Christopher) Boylan, Melanie (Andrew) Rupprecht, Bradley, Jamie, Peter, Shelley, and Christopher (Julie), and 13 grandchildren. Mike was a Regional Manager for Ozark Airlines, and owned Murgics Automotive in Rosemount with his son, Steve. He was an avid race car driver, and was inducted into the Elko Speedway Hall of Fame in 2009. Mike will be forever loved and remembered for his strong work ethic and competitive spirit. A Gathering of Family and Friends is scheduled for 2-4 PM Sunday, March 8th at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Augustana of Apple Valley Healthcare Center or donor’s choice.
