Michael Kallas

Michael William Kallas, age 64, of Hastings, passed away suddenly April 12, 2014. He was born on June 8, 1949 in St. Paul to James and Helen (Hentgen) Kallas. He married Deb Regenscheid in Newport on April 2, 1977. Michael loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; mother in law, Rhea Regenscheid; and father in law, Roger Regenscheid. Michael is survived by his wife, Deb; children, Stacy (Tim) Reynolds; Katie (Ben) Peine; and Kyle Kallas; grandchildren, Logan and Reese Reynolds; and Eddie and Rhea Peine; sisters, Nancy (Scott) Knops; and Barb Kallas; brother, Tom Kallas; sister in law, Shannon Kallas; many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Joe Hannah, will be held Wed. (4/16) at 2:00 p.m. at Christ’s Family Church, 518 2nd St. E., Hastings. There will be a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred. The Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
