Merle R. Simon, age 73, formerly of Mpls., Cambridge, MN & Springfield, MO. Retired Metz Baking Co. Preceded in death by wife of 45 years, Eunice; son, Donald and son-in-law, Mike Geariety. Survived by children, Cindy Geariety, Bob Van Bergen (Beth), Joanne Halling (Albert), Jim Van Bergen, Tom Van Bergen (Channey), Jeff Simon, Todd Simon (Holly), Michelle Coop (Brad) and Chuck Simon (Kim); 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Funeral service, 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 27, 2006 with visitation one hour before the service at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers.
