Maxine Hall

Maxine Hall, age 100 of Hastings, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, April 16, 2019, at Lake Minnetonka Shores in Spring Park, following a recent stroke. Cathryn Maxine, the daughter of Fred and Cathryn (Thomas) Coulter, was born on October 4, 1918, in Auburn, Michigan. Following her graduation from Midland Michigan High School, Maxine continued her education at Michigan Business College in Bay City. On January 6, 1946, she was united in marriage to Robert M. Hall in Auburn, Michigan. They were blessed with three children and many wonderful memories prior to his passing on October 8, 2008. Maxine was a member of Resurrection United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Hastings Country Club. Maxine enjoyed playing bridge, traveling with Robert, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold, Kenneth, and Fred Jr.; and by her husband, Robert. Maxine is survived by her children, Dr. Jeffrey (Joleen) Hall and children, Jeffrey II, Alan Hall, and children, Jason, Christopher and Madalyn, and Julie (Jon) Thornberg and children, Katie (Matt) Eggers and Jake; great grandchildren, Raylan Hall, and twins, Remington and Clayton Eggers; and by four nieces, two nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2019, at Resurrection United Methodist Church in Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating. Private family interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation one-half hour prior to the service at church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, Maxine's family requests memorials to the American Heart Association in her memory. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
