Maureen Sue “Susie” O’Malley
age 74, of Mpls., passed away on July 22, 2020 of breast cancer. Born March 25, 1946 in Mpls. She graduated in 1964 from Roosevelt HS. Attended the U of MN (art history) and St Thomas (facilities design). She worked for various companies such as Ahern Pershing, Honeywell, US Federal Courts, Lawson Software and Beckman Coulter in facilities design and many other roles. She retired in 2012. Loved traveling to visit family and friends, antiquing with cousins Gretchen & Gail, walking in the St. Paul St. Patrick’s Day parade for 30+ years, Survivor nights with friend Bonnie, and Diamond Lake Church Ladies Bible Study. She has relied on her church, family and friends for their faithful prayer and support throughout her cancer journey. Preceded in death by parents, Paul Blain & Hazel (Goring) O’Malley; brother & sister-in-law, Dean and Carol O’Malley. Survived by brother, Gary (Colleen) O’Malley; nieces, Amy O’Malley and Megan O’Malley Cook; nephews, Sean and Jason O’Malley; grandniece, Jillian Cook; and grandnephews, Payton and Jameson Cook; family and friends. Memorial service at 11 AM on Sat. July 24, 2021, at Diamond Lake Luth. Ch., 5760 Portland Ave S, Mpls. with visitation 1 hour before.
