Mathilda "Tillie" Huneke

Mathilda �Tillie� Huneke, age 77, of Hastings died May 27, 2010 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Tillie was born October 2, 1932 in Wabasha County to Florian and Mary (Mahoney) Reding. She graduated from Villa Maria High School, and married James F. Huneke on February 11, 1953 in Bellechester, MN. Tillie was a former employee at Jacobson Hardware which became Johnson Hardware and later Reis Hardware. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, and loved playing cards and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandson Joseph. Tillie is survived by her children Marie Huneke, Robert (Pat) Huneke, Sharon (Rich) Ginther, and Larry (Barb) Huneke, all of Hastings; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren; brothers Ken (Rosie) Reding of Rochester, and Florian �Shorty� (Elaine) Reding of Lake City. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen will be held at 10AM Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings. The visitation will be from 4-8PM Monday, May 31, 2010 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. The grandchildren pallbearers are Jim Huneke, Shawn Ginther, Matt Ginther, Rick Huneke, Brittney Huneke, and Mark Huneke.
