Mary M. Beissel

Mary M. Beissel, age 81, of New Trier, died unexpectedly April 29, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Margaret was born August 2, 1937 to Henry and Gertrude (Tutewohl) Taube. She attended New Trier and Hastings Schools, graduating in 1955. She married John F. Beissel, on May 25, 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier, MN. She was a loving mother to their 5 children. She was employed part time at the Hampton Post Office for over 20 years. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John, her 5 children Wayne (Patti) Beissel, Bev (Joe) Moes, Dennis (Sue) Beissel, Brenda (John) McMahan, and Gary (Donna) Beissel; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Sr. Bernelle Taube, SSND, Agnes Knipe; her brother Brother Bernie Taube; sisters in law Margie Beissel, Eileen Beissel, Mary Ann Beyer; brother in law, Bob (Marion) Beissel; and also by numerous relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother Patrick, in laws Art, Fritz, Del, Joe, Buddy & Tom, & mother and father In law Nick and Anna. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Terry Beeson, will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, May 2, 2019, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier, MN. The visitation will be at the church from 8:30-10:30 am on Thursday. Interment will follow the service in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
