Mary L. Zweber

Mary L. Zweber, age 90 of Hastings, died peacefully on Wednesday evening, May 5, 2021, at Hastings Health and Rehabilitation ~ Augustana. Mary LaDonna, the daughter of William and Clara (Nielsen) Ring, was born on June 3, 1930, in Minneapolis. Following her graduation from South High School in Minneapolis with the class of 1949, Mary was united in marriage to Claude Zweber on June 6, 1953. They were blessed with six children, nearly sixty-eight years of marriage, and many wonderful memories together. Mary was a dedicated wife and mother, who cherished time spent with family. Over the years, her husband’s career took the family to many towns across Minnesota and North Dakota, with Mary gracefully handling all the details. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and bowling with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Claude; children, Claudia Zweber, Timothy Zweber, Aimee Zweber, Peter (Carol) Zweber, Susan (Larry) Schedenhelm, and Jennifer (Ryan) Mahar; grandchildren, Zachary, Zara, Zandra, Zoanne, Zena, Megan, Spencer, Travis, Andrew, Jayde, Jayme, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Cainan, and Kirsten; seven great grandchildren, and by many relatives and friends. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 10 a.m. A Visitation will be held a hour prior to the mass beginning at 9 a.m., also at church. Family and friends are cordially invited to a reception at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel following the mass. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on July, 19, 2021. A special thank you to the staff of Augustana Care Center for their kindness and loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred to HCEF (Hasting Catholic Education Foundation) at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School, 600 Tyler Street, Hastings, MN 55033. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
