Mary I. McKay, age 78, of Hastings died at her home on March 19, 2009.Marywas born on January 1, 1931 in Onamia, MN to Stephan and Vernielle (Cox) Hatt. She married Vern J. McKay on May 2, 1949 in Onamia. Mary had worked for Smead Manufacturing in Hastings for over forty years prior to retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Vern. Mary is survived by her nine nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home from 10:00am to Noon on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 followed by a graveside service at Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
