Mary Jane Hurlburt

Mary Jane Hurlburt (Connett), 98 years old, of Hastings, Minnesota passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 23, 2025 after a long and healthy life.

Mary was born on September 26, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was known for her love of all children and dedication to her family. She loved bowling, puzzles, card games, and traveling with lifelong friends. While independently raising her own six children, she also served numerous, local families in St. Paul Park, Minnesota by providing daycare for 35 years.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Fritz, Karen Mendoza (Tony), Patricia Mausolf (Joe); and son, Jeffery Hurlburt; grandchildren, Diane Craft (Mike), Troy Mendoza (Rebecca), Sandra Fritz (Nathan), Joe Mausolf (Anna), Kara Mackie (Ross), Aaron Hurlburt, Ashley Wright (Jeff), Desiree Hurlburt, Chelsey Little (Brian), Lauren Nelson (Wesley); as well as 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, William Hurlburt; daughter, Laura McNamara; son, James Hurlburt; great-grandson, Deaken Wright; father and mother, Clifford and Agnes Connett; siblings, Helen Schultz, Shirley Salisbury, Robert Connett, Duke Connett, Wayne Connett; along with many lifelong friends.

May we all continue to cherish life memories of Mary, our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great-grandma, Aunt, caregiver, and friend.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
