Mary Dina Rutledge

Mary Dina Rutledge, age 83, of Hastings, passed away June 26, 2015 at Regina Care Center in Hastings. She was born on May 2, 1932 in St. Paul to Michael & Serafina Fida. Dina loved her children and loved being a grandma, she had the gift of hospitality and loved to entertain in her home often. She was a professional seamstress, avid bowler and enjoyed playing bridge. She was a stagehand at the Guthrie Theater and also managed Toby’s Landing Restaurant. She was very active in the community and her favorite charity was Society of the Little Flower. Dina was a member of Holy Redeemer Church, St. Pascals of Baylon, St. Rita’s in Cottage Grove and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Hastings. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Mary Kathryn Ryan; parents; siblings, Mary Rose Kubiak; James Fida; Frank Fida. She is survived by children, John (Joy) Rutledge; Joette (Ev) White; Richard Ryan; Toni (Ralph) Valiukas; grandchildren, Nicki, Luke, Jacob; Chloe & Samuel Rutledge; Kelsey White; Joseph Ryan; Behren Valiukas; great grandchildren, Adrian; Mia; Kyan; Ethan; Daniel; Roman & Logan, brother, John Fida. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday (7/1) at 11:00am at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery.
