Mary Ann Bloomstrand

Mary Ann Waggoner, Parks, Bloomstrand, Retired RN, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at her home. She was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Eric Bloomstrand, Perry Parks, Dennis Parks; son-in-law, Doug Aune; beloved granddaughter, Sylvie Parks; great-grandson, Liam McNaughton; husband, John Richard Parks; parents, Earl and Bernice Waggoner; brother, Bob Waggoner; niece, Kari Waggoner. Mary Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Bloomstrand; children, Kathy (Joe) Lasar, William (Joanne) Parks, John Parks, Steve (Brenda) Bloomstrand, Peggy Bloomstrand, and Patty (John) Klingner. Mary Ann has 34 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy. She is also survived by many loved relatives from Sioux City, IA.

Mary was a member of Our Lady of Divine Providence Carmelite Lay Order, The World Apostolate of Fatima Organization, and a Pro-Life Activist. She was a firm believer that all human persons have a right to life. Memorials preferred to Hastings Total Life Care Center and Pro-Life Action Ministries of Saint Paul or charity of your choice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11:30AM at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with visitation starting two hours prior to Mass and Rosary Prayer to begin at 9:30AM. Interment will be in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
