Maryann (Geer) Foster

Maryann Foster, age 90 of Northfield, passed away peacefully at Hastings Senior Health & Living on Saturday evening, March 15, 2025.

Maryann, the daughter of William and Alma (Pfarr) Geer, was born in Minneapolis on December 5, 1934. Following her graduation with honors from South High in 1952, Maryann first worked as a telephone operator and later in the lab at Minneapolis Children's Hospital. Maryann then began her longtime career as a bank teller at Norwest Bank. For those that knew Maryann, you knew she loved to cook and bake. She was always trying new recipes, and sharing with those she loved. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, and never missed the chance to be the one taking pictures wherever she went. Maryann always made a big impression on people wherever she went, and was always sure to find breakfast buddies in any community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Darlene, Donald, and Harry; children, Marietta, Walter, and Bonita; and by her husband, James.

Maryann is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Pangburn-Jagodzinski; grandchildren, Karlee (Dave) Schramel, Vanessa Bolden, Erika (Brandon) Buck, Erin Jagodzinski, Kasey Jagodzinski, Jeffrey (Charlotte) Fisher, Dustin Pangburn, Daniel (Jennifer) Fisher, and Justin Sabyan; many great grandchildren; siblings, Ida Anderson and William (Chris) Geer; special cousin, Janice (Jerry) Swanberg; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Maryann's Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday, March 28, 2025.
