Mary A. Scherman

Mary A. Scherman, age 84, passed away April 22, 2020. She was born on July 4, 1935 to John and Mary (McCoy) Curran. She worked as a computer programmer for Northwest Airlines. Mary is preceded in death by her son, Joseph T. Harmon; parents; grandson, Isaac Lucking; and sister, Joanne Grudzien. She is survived by her children, Bernard P. Harmon Jr., Denise Scherman Johnson, Sue (Larry) McCarty, Patty (Randy) Lucking, Cathleen (Greg) Scherman, James Harmon, Kimberly Scherman, Mary Lencowski, Daniel (Carolyn) Scherman, and Kenneth (Leigh Anne) Scherman; 28 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brother, John W. Curran Jr.; sister, Kathleen Marrin; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. A Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Michael Tix, will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion. A visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at church. Interment, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary's name to LifeSource or the Alzheimers Association.
