Hastings Chapel

Marvin S. Wasserman, age 88, of Hastings, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Marvin was born on July 27, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Albert and Marie (Masaloneous) Wasserman. He grew up in Ohio alongside his younger brother, Harvey. During his school years, Marvin enjoyed playing golf and often worked as a caddie. After graduating high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, beginning a long and distinguished military career.

While stationed in California, Marvin met the love of his life, Corinne Klink. The two were married and shared 64 wonderful years together. Marvin began his Air Force career as a bomber and fighter avionics technician and went on to serve in locations such as Guam, Greece, and Montana. He served honorably in Vietnam and ultimately retired after 26 years as Superintendent of a Maintenance Squadron in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Marvin often said he was proud and honored to have served his family and his country.

Marvin and Corinne were blessed with two children, Sandy and Michael. As a military family, they moved often, creating many memories along the way before eventually settling in Hastings, Minnesota, to be close to Corinne’s mother. Marvin loved spending time with his family—whether camping, fishing, or enjoying a backyard barbecue. Some of their best memories were made on camping and fishing trips, both overseas and across the U.S., where they would meet up with friends, pitch their tents, and simply enjoy being together in nature. He had a lifelong love of golf, woodworking, building model railroads, and tinkering with computers and electronics.

He is survived by his loving wife, Corinne; daughter, Sandy (Joe) Krafchak; son, Michael Wasserman; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Marge Wasserman.

Marvin was approachable, kind, and always willing to lend a hand or share a good conversation. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and devotion to his family.

No services will be held at this time.
