Marvin J. Schiller

Marvin J. Schiller, age 66, of Hampton died Saturday, 9/27/2008 at his home. Marvin was born to John and Christine (Endres) Schiller on 10/27/1941 in Red Wing. He married Eunice Chapman on 11/23/1967 at St. Matthews Catholic Church. Marvin had worked as a federal meat inspector for 37 years. He loved fishing and hunting; was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church Council; had served as the treasurer for Hampton Township for 25 years; was an active member of the Hampton Sportsmen Club and the Cannon Falls K. of C.'s. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife Eunice; sons Chuck (Angie) Schiller Brad (Missy) Schiller all of Hastings; 5 grandsons Sam, Brady, Nathan, Josef, Oliver; brother Donald (Pat) Schiller of Hastings sister Marian (Bob) Beissel of Cannon Falls. The FuneralMass will be held at11 AM Wednesday,October 1, 2008at ST. MARY�S CATHOLIC CHURCH, New Trier, MN. The interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Curt Beissel, Doug Beissel, Tom Schiller, Steve Schiller, Tim Northagen, Mike Northagen, and John Chapman; honorary pallbearers are John Schaffer, Harry Thurmes, Butch Lorentz, Joe Gores, Leon Gergen, Ray Gergen, Wayne Peine, Bill Suchy, Greg Endres, Bob Kieffer, and Joe Burr. The visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Tuesday, September 30th at the CATURIA-SMIDT FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. 7th St., Hastings, MN also 1 hour prior to service at the church.
