Marvin E. Chapman

Marvin E. Chapman, age 83 of Minneapolis, born May 12, 1925 in Lewis, WI, passed away in his sleep after a long illness on Jan. 24, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, five brothers, and three sisters. Beloved husband, loving and caring father and grandfather. Marvin is survived by his wife, Geraldine; son, Steven (Susan); daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Stone, and Marnie Vetsch; grandchildren: Jennifer (Mike) Bailey, Nathan Chapman, Angela Grady, Amandrea Chapman and Chelsea Vetsch; five great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Carlson and many other family and friends. Marvin served faithfully in the Army. He worked for many years at Mpls. Moline and retired from Roscoe mfg. He loved hunting, nature, animals and his family. Visitation is 5-8 PM, Tuesday, January 27 with prayers at 7 PM, and also one hour before the service, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. Funeral service is 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Mortuary. Interment will follow at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
