Martha Stallwood

Martha “Myrt” Stallwood, 95, of Hastings passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 27, 2017. Myrt was born December 31, 1921 in St. Meinrad, IN to Robert and Frances Becher. After moving to Indianapolis, Myrt married Leslie Stallwood on August 28, 1947. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her loving family. Myrt was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Les, a sister and two brothers. Myrt is survived by two sons, Geoff (Shirley) Stallwood and George (Patty) Stallwood of Indiana; one daughter, Tracy (John) Steiner of Hastings; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 31st at 1:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. W., Hastings. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the church prior to Mass. Interment, Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, IN. Memorials preferred.
