Mark McGrath, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Onamia, MN on Saturday, July 5, 2025.|
Mark was born on November 16, 1956, to Robert and Carol McGrath. A proud graduate of Highland High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business. Mark dedicated more than 40 years of hard work and commitment to his career at UPS.
Mark was known for his love of life and his many passions — golfing, bowling, pheasant hunting, and riding his motorcycle brought him great joy over the years. He was often described as the life of the party, someone who brought laughter, warmth, and a strong sense of camaraderie wherever he went. Above all, Mark cherished his family and the time spent with them.
In 2003, Mark met Kristi Blackstad. The two were married on October 8, 2016, and built a beautiful life together filled with love, family, and adventure.
Mark is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert and Carol McGrath.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kristi; his children, Daniel (Lisa) and Bryan; stepchildren, Jacob (Katelyn) Foley and Rebecca (Nick) Nistler; granddaughter, Hailey; and step-grandchildren, Braxton, Nolan, Nova, Bridget, and Briella. He is also survived by his siblings, Jeff (Deborah), Lynn (Tom) Tierney, Christine (Dean Townsend) Walsh, Greg (Diem), and Patrick (Vicky); along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel (3075 Vermillion Street) in Hastings. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., and to a reception immediately following the graveside services, all at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings on Wednesday.
