Age 60, passed away on Dec. 16, 2018 in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Mark was born on March 14, 1958 to John and Ruth (Dinger) Halvorson in Thief River Falls, MN. Preceded in death by his wife, Kyong Ok “Candy” Pak; parents; and nephew, Eric Halvorson. Survived by his siblings, Mandy Beech of Eagan, Jack (Susan) Halvorson of Burnsville, Mary (Chris) Radatz of New Market, and Diane Halvorson of Mankato; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mark graduated from Winona Public Schools in 1976. He served in the US Army from 1977 to 1997: Sergeant First Class. Mark served in the 101st Airborne in the First Gulf War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, he also served in the 52nd Aviation at Camp Humphreys in South Korea. Memorial Service at 1pm on Sat., Feb. 2, 2019 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with visitation one hour prior.
