Marjory “Marge” O’Neil, long-time resident of the St. Paul area, died Wednesday the 7th of December. Born December 3, 1921, Marge had just celebrated her 95th birthday surrounded by family. Appreciated for her cunning wit, and a smile that lit up the room (still all of her own teeth, she would tell you), Marge lived life with passion and strength. She was fiercely independent and could always be counted on to do things in her own way. After retiring from a long career with St. Paul Public Schools, she spent time traveling the world, and working as a nationally recognized volunteer at the VA hospital. She spent the past five years in the impeccable, caring hands of the staff at Wealshire of Bloomington for which her family is eternally grateful. Marge is survived by her children Carolyn Armitage (Len) Feilmeier and Joni (Jeff) Wartchow; grandchildren, Michele (Randy) Vankampen, Scott (Melissa) Armitage, Brett (Beatrice) Wartchow; seven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Catherine Voss. Preceded in death by parents, Ethel and Henry Voss; Brother, Lowell Voss; Son-In-Law, Tom Armitage; and many friends. Good night shirt, Grandma.
