Marjorie Anola Bestler (Phelps), 98, of Hastings, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at Inver Glen Assisted Living.
Marjorie was born in Dodge Center, Minnesota, to Harold and Lillian Phelps on May 30, 1928. She was a homemaker and also drove school bus for South Washington County for a number of years.
After raising their family, she and Ray Sr. bought a home on a lake in Spooner, Wisconsin. Many new and special friendships were formed, where they were active in the community, the Methodist Church, and in a snowmobile club until failing health led them back closer to family in Hastings, Minnesota.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Sr.; her son, Russell; her parents, Harold and Lillian; her two brothers, Joe and Toby; and her three sisters, Harriet, Viola, and Gloria.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn, and brother-in-law, Graham Luck; her loving children, Marcia Prehn; Mike (Louise); Ray Jr. (Becki); David (Patty); and Duane (Pam); her daughter-in-law, Deb; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family interment will take place on July 25, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Wildwood Cemetery, 60463 213th Avenue, Wasioja, Minnesota.
Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel is handling the arrangements.
