Marjorie A. Forbes

Marjorie Ann Forbes, age 64, of Elk River, MN, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Parkview Care Center, Buffalo, MN. Born April 11, 1946, she was the daughter of John and Mary Bordeniuk of Pembina, ND. Marge was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, grandma, sister and a friend to all who knew her. She was a home decorator for years and had a special talent to brighten any home she worked in. One of Marge's special gifts was her creative mind and she thoroughly enjoyed designing and pursuing her ideas and inventions. Marge embraced every moment of her life with love, humor, optimism and her infectious smile. She loved to garden, garage sale, decorate, and cook, but most importantly, spend time with her family and friends. Marge was proud of her Ukrainian heritage and took great pleasure in preparing all of the traditional foods for her family and friends. Marge lived life to the fullest and treasured the simple things in life. She loved picnics by the water, the leaves changing, the snow falling and fireworks. Marge had a spirit that touched everyone she met throughout her life and her faith was most important to her.She is preceded in death by her father; and former husband, Robert Forbes. She is survived by her mother; children, Sandra Forbes of Burnsville; Steven Forbes (Christine) of Maple Grove; and Mishelle 'Poo' Forbes of Elk River; grandchildren, Angeline; Calvin; Addison; brothers, Ronnie Bordeniuk and Richard Bordeniuk; five nieces, three nephews, and many close friends.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church, 5760 Portland Ave. S., Minneapolis.
