Marilynn Elaine Manteufel

Marilynn Elaine (Paulson) Manteufel was born to Myrtle (Quickstad) Paulson and Maurice Paulson April 3, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN. She died December 27, 2025 in Savage, MN.

Following high school graduation she attended University of Minnesota. Following graduation she worked at Business Incentives Company in Edina, MN until her retirement. Marilynn's priority were her parents throughout her life and as they aged she took them on vacation every year to visit aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives in SD, CA and PA. On their trips together they enjoyed many historical sites and beautiful National Parks.

After Marilynn's father passed away, she and her mother moved into a townhouse in Bloomington, MN. There she met and became friends with her neighbors, Joann & Roger Manteufel. After Joann passed away, Marilynn and Roger developed a relationship that led to their marriage on July 18, 2013. They resided in Savage, MN. There they enjoyed their home, their two puppies, Mikey and Molly, and a few road trips. Roger passed away in January 2019, and Marilynn remained in their home until her passing.

Marilynn had several hobbies. As a young girl she took piano lessons and became quite talented. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a book club in their neighborhood. She knit beautiful sweaters and blankets. Her Norwegian Rosemailing (traditional Norwegian folk art) was beautifully painted and she gave her creations to relatives and friends. She was a faithful Christian who loved her Lord and when she was no longer able to attend services in person she streamed services faithfully every week on her iPad.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice & Myrtle (Quickstad) Paulson; her husband, Roger Manteufel; one uncle; four aunts; and two cousins. Survivors include many cousins.

Blessed be the memory of Marilynn as her soul rests with her Heavenly Father.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 10 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area #4, 7601 34th Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN.
