Marie Louise Blomgren, Age 44, of Rosemount, Minnesota passed away on July 5th, 2026.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Marquerite & Lee Hulslander; grandmother, Colleen Fesenfeld; and aunt, Rachel Kass.
Survived by her husband, Joshua Blomgren; children, Isabella and Cora Hulslander-Mahlow; stepchildren, Tyler, Grady, Alana and Arwen Blomgren; parents Dan & Nora Anderson; brother Dean Anderson; her burlesque family, friends and loved ones.
Marie was in the first class to ever attend the School of Environmental Studies in Apple Valley and graduated in 2000. She continued that education, graduating from the University of St. Catherine in 2025 with a bachelors degree in Liberal Arts.
Starting in 2004 Marie found a home at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. She was a part of the festival press the Renaissance Media Zone. She ran the weekend newspaper featuring various characters and events (all entirely true), and ran a special yearly fundraising edition called “Bloomers and Tights”.
Driven by her passion to create and her tremendous sense of humor, Marie was a burlesque performer and producer for more than 16 years. She began performing in shows with Abbie Rhode’s Psychedelic Spectacle in 2010 and then produced with Toil & Trouble Presents in 2011. She went on to produce and star in the annual Trek vs Wars Battle of the Stars show and North Star Nerdlesque Festival. She joined the Northstar Ghostbusters in 2019, contributing to various charity and CONvergence events around the Twin Cities, honoring one of her favorite film franchises. Marie helped build some of the Cities most beloved and iconic productions and is deeply cherished by the community coast to coast.
In her free time she loved to take photos of her family and friends, create jaw dropping performances and spend time with her loved ones. Marie was a loving mother and wife whose legacy will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is deeply missed by her children, husband and friends. The glitter, light, and laughter she brought to us all will not be forgotten.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm. The funeral is at 4:00pm on Thursday, July 16th, 2026 at Starkson Family ~ Anderson Chapel, 14850 Garret Ave, Apple Valley.
