Margret C. Rohr

November 18, 1935 — March 4, 2016

Margret C. Rohr, 80, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 with her family by her side. Born November 18, 1935 in Fargo, North Dakota to Wesley and Margret (Hills) Dahlberg, Margret worked with the Probate and Juvenile Courts in Dakota County for many years. She was a unique woman with a nickname to match. Hey Lady would ALWAYS get a response from her even if Mom, Mother, Margret did not. Margret was frugal in most ways except with her children and grandchildren. Over the past few years she would give her family used holiday and birthday cards in which she would cross out any prior signatures and replace it with love mom. Her family has fond memories of her right pointer finger, slightly askew, pointing at you to indicate her displeasure with your name coming out as a sigh of disappointment. We will miss the finger and sighing, for even if we laughed we knew her disappointment was something to reconsider for how we conducted ourselves. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and brought abundant joy. She had three of each, Alyssa, Kayla and Megan, Corey, Tyler and Travis. She was looking forward to her first great grandbaby at the end of March. Her happiness for her granddaughter and her grandson-in-law Sunday (Barski her name for him) was known. Kayle, her other grandson-in-law was found in Montana and coerced to come to MN to live. She welcomed him with open arms. She got to be a grandma 24/7 when she was blessed by Megan and Corey living with her. Were not sure they thought so! When Margret retired, she was able to become Tyler and Traviss G-nanny. She learned LOTS from them. Margret very much loved her sons-in-law Joel and Randy. For the most part she felt they could do no wrong. She often told her daughters they were wrong in any martial disharmony and pointed out to each exactly where they went wrong in their thought processes. Margret leaves behind a family that will miss her ability to navigate through life in her incredibly stubborn but amazingly kind and gentle ways. She will be missed by her family, brothers, Charles and Jimmy (Karen), sister, Karen (Wayne), her soon to be granddaughterin-law AnnaBelle, her many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and friends! Hey Lady, we love you! Your daughters, Lynn, Debbie, Margene and your baby. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at Our Saviours Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 West Ninth Street, Hastings, with Rev. Lloyd Menke officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Thursday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh St., Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church. Pallbearers are Jim Dahlberg, Charles Dahlberg, Alyssa Bassey, Kayla Michael, Megan White, Corey White, Tyler Cysiewski and Travis Cysiewski. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association and the Diabetes Association.
