Margery Asplund

Margery Diane Asplund, 91, of Hastings went to be with Jesus on November 21, 2022 while residing at Augustana Senior Living in Hastings.

Margery was born December 3, 1930 to Nick and Esther (Liljenberg) Holm in Minneapolis and graduated from South High School in Minneapolis.

In 1949, Marge attended Bethel College where she met Bennett Asplund from Ferndale, Washington and on August 25,1951 they were married at Bethel Church in Minneapolis and together raised their three daughters.

Marge was a dedicated GMG leader at Edgewater Baptist church for many years and was a member for over 50 years.

She was a proud grandmother and great- grandma, and a dedicated mother. She enjoyed camping with her family early in life and quilted and sewed for many years. Margery walked daily with Jesus and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Margery is survived by her daughters, Linda (Randy) Berg of Hastings, Janet (Tom) Henrickson of Scottsdale, AZ, Jennifer (Hans) Kinde of Dayton, OH, grandchildren, Raechel (Mike) Krause, Gretchen (Jon) Bird, Meredith (Jeff) Hancks, Nathan (Nicole) Berg, Eric (Melinda) Berg, Elizabeth Kinde, Alex Kinde and Jordan Kinde; great- grandchildren, Trevor, Anders, Torben, Aiden, Drew, Svea, Winnie, Wally, Dilly and Nelly; other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bennett and brother, Lyndon Holm.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 am December 26 at Calvary Church with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings is assisting the family.
