Margaret Mary (Simerson) Schultz, age 69, passed away at home in Frisco, TX on May 1, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by loved ones. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Margaret’s infectious laughter, brilliant smile, and zest for life will be deeply missed.

Margaret was born on June 19, 1955 in St. Paul, MN to Richard and Marilyn (Mork) Simerson. She graduated from Derham Hall in 1973 and St. Mary’s and the University of Minnesota in 1978. Margaret was adored by and madly in love with her husband Tom for more than 36 years. Margaret cherished her daughter, Katie B, and her granddaughter, Lulu; Margaret’s girls were her pride and joy and she delighted in being a mother and grandmother (Kiki). Margaret was a life-long fitness enthusiast who loved workout classes, including pilates. Margaret worked at 3M for over 40 years, she was a top-notch sales woman and then enjoyed several years of retirement before returning to work at her beloved pilates club, where she was of course the top seller of memberships. Margaret was vibrant, she drew all kinds of people to her in everything she did, she was the life of any party. Margaret loved to shop, especially with her sister Mary and her mom Marilyn; Margaret made sure Tom had all the right pieces to be impeccably dressed for any occasion, and always made an adjustment to Tom’s outfit so it was perfect. Margaret, being the oldest of seven, loved to celebrate any and all holidays and special occasions and was the most amazing hostess. When she couldn’t be present in person, she sent the most thoughtful gifts. Margaret had the most loyal and thoughtful friends throughout her life, including many from childhood.

Margaret was preceded in death by beloved father Richard Simerson, sister Mary Helen Becker, step-father John Young, sister-in-law Margaret Nelson, mother-in-law Beatrice Schultz, father-in-law Frederick Schultz, and nephew Elijah Wallfred.

Margaret is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Schultz, her daughter Kathleen Beatice, and her granddaughter Landon Leora, her mother Marilyn Young, her sisters Patricia Simerson-Wallfred, Florence Manley, and Ann Simerson, her brothers Michael Simerson and John Simerson, her sister-in-law Mary Ann Schultz, her brother-in-law Frederick Schultz, her nieces Erica, Molly Margaret, Megan, Emily, Marilyn, Adele, Abigail, and Madeline, her nephews Isaiah, Ian, Michael, Charles, and Jack, many great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.
