Margaret M. Wolf, age 76, of Hastings, passed away quietly and calmly, just as she had lived her life, on the evening of March 17th. Margie was born in Glencoe, grew up in Isle, and then moved to South St Paul, spending a few decades raising her favorite (and only) daughter, Heidi Jo and being married to the love of her life, Allen. In retirement, Margie and Al moved to Cloverton, and then after Al’s passing, Margie spent her time living in Hastings to be near to her most prized purpose, granddaughter, Dani Rose. Having worked in many professions over the years, including West Publishing and Dakota County Assistance, Margie’s passion was for the law and politics. However, Margie spent her life in equal balance, for whatever time she spent making a living, she spent an equal or greater part of her life with family and friends. Always caring and giving, Margie was an excellent cook, was an avid fiction reader, and always had an innuendo joke to share. In her early years, she bowled for fun and leagues, but what she never gave up was her love for football, casinos and traveling. Her traveling companions, both with husband Al and after his passing, were her sisters and brother and their spouses; Elaine & Bob, Yvonne & George and Denny & Polly. Traveling to visit their other sister Silk in Washington, Denny’s house in Utah, and to any interesting attraction they could find. Margie was genuinely relaxed in life and especially when surrounded by family and friends, however, her most beautiful smiles came whenever she was next to Dani Rose. Spending all sixteen years of Dani’s life, loving and guiding her, Margie loved being a grandmother. Margie was preceded in death by her husband Allen, and her best friend/ sister, Joanie Amtsbauer. She is survived by her daughter, Heidi (Cary) Carstensen; granddaughter, Danielle Carstensen; sister, Yvonne (George) Mennel; brother, Denny (Polly) Kegler; sister, Silk Mauro; sister, Elaine (Bob) Ellert; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
