Margaret M. Bacon

Margaret M. �Peggy� Bacon, age 91, of Prescott died January 18, 2012 at the United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Margaret was born January 20, 1920 in Browerville, MN to Matthew and Esther (Chase) Pechan. She married Melvin G. Bacon on December 3, 1941 at the Cathedral in St. Paul and worked as both chef and cook, many years at the Steamboat Inn, Prescott. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin G. and son Melvin; Margaret is survived by sons Tom (Audrey) Bacon of Annandale, MN and Gene (Jeanne) Bacon of Hastings; also six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. John Robert will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 11, 2012 at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church, 269 Dakota Street in Prescott, WI, with visitation held 2 hours prior to the service. A private interment will be held in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
