Margaret A.Lindholm
Age 88, passed away on September 16, 2015 after a long and blessed life. Preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Jessie Benson. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank of 67 years; children, Bruce (Betty), Wayne (Maureen), Craig (Valerie) and Lisa (James) Hemker; 10 grandchildren; sister, Betty Racek; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Margaret graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis. After graduating, she enrolled in the Fairview Hospital RN program and later graduated from the College of Health Services Nurse Practitioner program at Brigham Young University. Margaret practiced nursing in Hastings, Minneapolis, and Northfield, where she operated the Carlton College Health Services Program for more than 10 years. Throughout her life, Margaret loved playing bridge, hosting dinners for family and friends, decorating her homes, and volunteering for her church. In retirement, she enjoyed rosemaling, needlepoint and sewing that she loved to share. Margaret practiced a life of service and caring for others. Visitation is 5-8pm Friday Sept. 25th at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley and also 1 hour before the service Saturday at the church. Funeral service 12 Noon Saturday, Sept. 26th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Camp Knutson, 11169 Whitefish Ave., Crosslake, MN 56442 or an organization of donor’s choice.
