Marcella M. Bjorge

Marcella Bjorge age 92, of Apple Valley passed away at Trinity Care Center on December 31, 2014. She was born on June 2, 1922 in Florence, Italy to Luigi and Anita Sassaroli. She met her husband Oliver while he was stationed in Italy during WWII. Marcella and Oliver made their home in Ada, Minnesota where they raised their three children Bob, Anna and Cindy.
Before Marcella came to America she studied to become a skilled seamstress and continued this profession all of her life. In addition to her sewing, Marcella was known for her cookies and friends could always count on an endless supply of cookies in the cookie jars. She also enjoyed gardening and shopping but above all else she loved spending time with her family. Her husband, Oliver and sister, Anna, precede her in death. Her children, her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survived her. She will be forever loved and treasured. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10 AM on Saturday, January 10th at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, (952) 432-2331, with visitation with family 1 hour prior.
