Marcel R. Tobias

Marcel R. “Marc” Tobias, age 88, of Prescott, passed away Friday March 21 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Marc was born on November 7, 1925 in Oak Grove to Edward and Theresa (Matzek) Tobias. Marc operated the Standard Oil Station in Prescott for 30 years. Marc married Fran Rueter in 1951. They were married 39 years. He is survived by his three children, Tony (Rosanne); Terry; and Cindy (Bill Early); 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Leroy and Dick; and sister, Kathleen Johnson. He was preceded in death by wife, Fran; sister, Helen Jean and brother, LaVerne. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, March 24, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prescott.
