Age 93 of Lakeville, entered eternal rest on Aug. 2, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by first wife, Evelyn M. Hardy; daughter, Diane Saffert; granddaughters, Danette Crawford and Megan Burkard; 3 siblings. Survived by wife, Evelyn B. Hardy; daughters, Vicki (Gary) Eckes, Barb (Jim) Hardy Albee and Terri (Brian) Akason; step-children, Anne (Bill) Jackson, Mike (Rita) Yonkovich, Rick (Roberta) Yonkovich, Paula (Steve) Rue, Gary Yonkovich, Marlys (Reed) Houge, Mark (Lori) Yonkovich and Alan (Jessi) Yonkovich; grandchildren, Michelle, John, Becky (Bill), Dan (Julie), Angie (Brad), Julene (Brian), Joe, Erin, Brett, Kelly and Jenna; other relatives and many friends. He was proud to serve in WWII in the Merchant Marines. He had a long, successful career with Allis-Chalmers. In his younger days he was an avid baseball player in So. MN with his Delavan team winning the state championship.Mass of Christian Burial at 11am on Wed., Aug. 9, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Ave., Lakeville, with visitation one hour prior to mass. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
