Lyle Ansley Stokke

Age 100, passed away peacefully on January 8.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Phyllis (Angier) and son-in-law, Richard Mielke. He is survived by four children: Marilyn Mielke, Barbara (Curtis) Boltman, Robert (Jane), and William (Lynn); 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Delmont, and special niece, Pamela Angier. Lyle graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1937 and the Minnesota School of Business in 1939.  He was a proud WWII Army veteran who served in the European Theater.  After 35 years as a buyer, Lyle retired from Midland Cooperative in 1981. He was an avid golfer and lifetime member of Hiawatha Golf Club. Funeral service, 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 with a visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23^rd Ave. S., Mpls.  Lyle will be laid to rest with his wife, Phyllis at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Meals on Wheels.
