Lucretia "Ellen" Brewer

Lucretia Ellen Brewer passed away on July 14, 2025.

Ellen grew up in Lombard, Chicago, and graduated from Prescott High School in 1975. She later earned an associate’s degree in Social Work from Inver Hills Community College and went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in St. Paul.

Ellen had a gift for creativity and loved spending her time crocheting, diamond painting, and sewing. She had a larger-than-life personality, and you could always feel her presence the moment she walked into a room.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Donald Brewer and Barbara Joan (Smith) Brewer, and her brother, William Randall Brewer.

Ellen’s memory will be cherished by her children, Donald Nell, Nicole Donny, Heidi Hetue, and Jesse Peterson; her grandchildren, Trinity (Matt) Martin, Faith (Sam) Griffin, and Hannah Nell; her sisters, Mildred Denise (Raymond) Thurmes and Claudia Joan Brewer; her nieces and nephews, Clint (Tanya) Thurmes, Crystal Thurmes, and Randall (Vee) Brewer; and her great-nieces and nephews, April Thurmes, Danielle Thurmes, and Ryder Thurmes. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Cleo and Pebbles, along with many other relatives and friends who loved her deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 12 noon at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel with a visitation starting at 11:00AM. A Reception will follow the Celebration.
