Lova Irene Dotson, a longtime resident of Hastings, Minnesota, died April 28, 2020 at the age of 96, in Sun City West, Arizona. She was born in Bluffton, Ohio, July 30, 1923, to parents, A. Melvin and Mary Steiner. Lova married Williard Dotson on January 17, 1942, lived in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Hastings in 1955. Together they raised six children, Randy (Pat) of Buckeye, AZ, Janice (Ed) Peterson of Hastings, MN, Susan (Dennis) Disario of Fort Collins, CO, David (Linda) of Surprise, AZ, Gregory (Miriam) of Sun City West, AZ, and Jerry (Kris) of Hastings, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, one sister, one grandson, and a great granddaughter. Lova is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her brother, Kevin Steiner of Florida. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, bowling, golfing, playing cards and games. She was known for her quick wit and one-liners. Her family will continue to celebrate her life, as she was an awesome mother. Memorial gifts preferred to Hastings Family Service, 301 Second Street East, Hastings, MN.
