Lorraine Mary Matsch

Lorraine M. Matsch (ne Serres), age 71, of Hastings, passed away at home on April 17, 2014. She was born in Hastings to William and Clara (ne Burr) Serres on November 20, 1942. Lorraine's passions were her grandchildren, tending to her amazing house plants, gardening and any opportunity she was given to interact with people. Her gentle spirit made all feel safe and welcome in her presence. Her faith in God was strong and guided her thoughts, attitudes and actions. She will be missed by many and her family is grateful for the beautiful memories she has provided to ease us through her leaving this world. Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Teresa; siblings, LaVerne Serres; Donald Serres; Gerald Serres; Leon Serres; Loren Serres. Lorraine is survived by her husband, William Matsch; children; Laine (Patti) Matsch; Ren (Steve) Klimek; Jarrod (Cheryl) Matsch; grandchildren, Samantha & Victoria Matsch; Benjamin & Anna Klimek; Lauren & Andrew Matsch; brother, Gervase Serres. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodbury Church of Christ, 4920 Woodbury Drive, Woodbury. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 21 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring Street, Hastings and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Pallbearers are Randy, David, Alan, Larry, Kevin & Gary Serres. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Trier, MN. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
