Lorraine Anna Galle

Lorraine Anna Galle (nee Hukriede), age 89, a resident of Rosemount, MN since 1967, formerly of Bertha, MN, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026, in Burnsville, MN. She was born August 23, 1936, in Bertha, MN.

Loving wife of the late Raymond Galle, whom she married April 19, 1958, and who preceded her in death June 5, 2017. Lorraine was the beloved mother of Michael (Melanie) Galle, Gary (Jacqueline) Galle, Catherine (Cary) Wenzel, and Robert (the late Pamela) Galle; adored grandmother of ten; and cherished great-grandmother of twelve. She was the devoted daughter of the late Theodore and Edna Hukriede; dear sister of Pearl (the late Ralph) Peterson, Harold (Bernadette) Hukriede, the late Glen Hukriede, the late and former sister-in-law Terry Hukriede, Bernice (David) Fox, Ronald (Denise) Hukriede, Steven (Brenda) Hukriede, Wesley Hukriede, and former sister-in-law Sandy Hukriede; fond aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many.

Lorraine grew up on a farm in Bertha, MN and was a graduate of Bertha-Hewitt High School, Class of 1954. She later met Ray while he was serving in the Air Force and stationed in Wadena, MN, and they were married a short time later. Ray’s career moved them to several places across the country before making Rosemount home.

She worked for the Rosemount School District for several years and enjoyed cooking, baking, family time at the lake, ski trips with her siblings, sister lunches, playing cards, and most importantly, attending her children’s and grandchildren’s recitals and sporting events. Whenever possible, Lorraine loved going dancing with her favorite dance partner, Ray.

Lorraine lovingly put others ahead of herself and was always there for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral at 10am on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Hope Lutheran Church, 19600 Camrose Way, Farmington, with visitation one hour prior. The funeral service will be live streamed at https://hopeministriesmn.online.church and can also be watched on YouTube at hopeministriesmn. Interment at Lebanon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lorraine’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
